Seattle "Truth, Goodness, and Beauty" Folk Dance Club (SFDC) was formed in September 2002 by a group of folk dance enthusiasts hailing from Taiwan & China. The club was certified as a non-profit organization by the State of Washington in March 2003, then became a 501(c)(3) organization in October 2012.
Our mission is to promote international folk dance through building community and regular classes, and use folk dancing to improve physical and mental well-being. SFDC selected the Ländler, an Austrian folk dance, to be its official club dance. The club’s membership consists of people of all ages from various geographic areas, socio-economic backgrounds, and professions - all united by their passion for folk dancing.
Weekly activities consist of Wednesday classes at the Culture Center of TECO in Bellevue and Saturday classes at Juanita Community Club in Kirkland. Weekly dance lists (via menu) include dances from countries around the world. Other club activities include an annual picnic, two end-of-program parties, and community performances at Lunar New Year events.
西雅圖「真、善、美」土風舞社（Seattle Folk Dance Club, 簡稱 SFDC）創立於二〇〇二年九月，由一群來自臺灣與中國、心繫民俗舞蹈之同好所共同孕育而生。二〇〇三年三月，本會獲華盛頓州政府正式認證為非營利組織，並於二〇一二年十月取得 501(c)(3) 非營利法人資格，自此以弘揚民俗藝術為志業，深耕社區。
本會以推廣國際民俗舞蹈為使命，藉由定期課程與社群凝聚，傳承舞蹈之美，滋養身心之健。舞步之間，不僅鍛鍊體魄，更涵養心靈。SFDC 特選奧地利民俗舞蹈「蘭德勒舞（Ländler)」為本會之社舞，寓意傳統與和諧之延續。會員來自四方，橫跨年齡、地域、職業與社會階層，卻皆因對民俗舞蹈的熱忱而相聚，在節奏與旋律中結為一體。
每週舞蹈之約，週三於 Bellevue TECO 文化中心展開，週六則在 Kirkland Juanita Community Club 翩然起舞。舞單隨周更迭，涵納世界各地之民俗舞曲，彷彿一場無疆界的文化巡禮。除常態課程外，本會亦舉辦年度野餐、期中和歲末兩次聯歡盛會，並於農曆新年等社區慶典中登臺演出，讓民俗舞蹈之美在社區中流轉、生根。
